Our promotional package has gone out to several potential production partners. So far we have had four development people ask for a script and one rejection. The rejection simply stated, "Thanks for considering us to help finance your project DOUBLE DOWN. Unfortunately, I think we have to pass at this time."

Just for the heck of it I checked in with this development person. He was very polite and helpful. His feeling about our project was that it would be difficult to distribute because there are so MANY small independent film with an artistic bent out there. He pointed out that many of the overseas distributors are overwhelmed with "smaller" films and are specifically looking for larger films with bigger names attached.

He also had some good recommendations on how we could proceed. There was the obvious, "get a name attached." But he also felt that being able to point to the crew we have secured would be a step in the right direction. It would show that we have momentum going and will be using talented and creative professionals.

I think having a section of our pitch devoted to crew credits with letters of intent to work on the film is a great idea.
