Well, it has been quite some time since the last post. Here is a brief update on what is going on.
Several people saw and enjoyed the short segment of "Double Down" we produced. In fact we had an overseas distributor interested. Although they loved the script and the short, they felt we "didn't have enough theatrical feature film production experience." They wanted to option the script, inflate the budget to try and attach bigger name stars, get a well known director and produce it themselves. Oh and they wanted to get rid of us.
We backed out.
David and I decided that the only way to make a feature film was to make it ourselves. We didn't want to have to wait for "permission" from some third party. So, we set out to write another script. A feature film designed to be shot on an even tighter budget than "Double Down" and to be shot on DV.
Now our DV film isn't in the pseudo-documentary "Blair Witch"-style. It will be every bit a quality theatrical film. We expect it will be of higher production quality than "Celebration," another DV feature.
So all I can say right now is, "We're Back!" I'll be keeping you posted on this project as it develops.
