Motion City, a privately held new media production company announced the launch of their site on the world-wide web, today. The site is located at http://www.motioncity.com and contains information about Motion City's products and services.

One of the key features of this new site will be a journal of the making of an independent feature film. Unlike most Hollywood film production sites, the web site will go beyond marketing and publicity. As the film's director, David Beedon points out, "the approach to our site is to truly inform and educate using a real-world situation. Every time I go back to Oklahoma I get asked, 'What's a Gaffer?' When I was in film school, we never really covered foreign pre-sales or how to approach an actor."

"What's exciting to me," adds Jerry Witt the producer of the film as well as the website, "is that we really don't know how it will evolve. This is our first feature film, and we're bound to make some mistakes."

In February Motion City will also add an online, interactive game that puts the player in the role of a Hollywood producer. The player will have several projects in development and have to see one through development, production and release. The game will be based on their own real-world experiences as well as Hollywood legend.

Motion City Films also has information about their production services; which include film and video production, non-linear editing and animation. There is also information about Motion City Interactive, a separate company that releases Enhanced CDs.
